Birth life

Virat Kohli was born on 5 November 1988 in Delhi. His father Prem Kohli worked as a criminal lawyer, and his mother, Saroj Kohli is a housewife.
Kohli always spoke about his father that he was very supportive. He was the one who played him cricket in his childhood. He was started to play cricket at just the age of nine years.
When Kohli played "gully" cricket all the neighbors told his father that he was born to play professional cricket.
When he was just three years old he put a bat in his hand asked his father to bowl.
He has an older brother Vikas and an older sister Bhavna.
He did his schooling in Uttam Nagar from Bharti Public School.
In 1998, when Kohli was just nine years old he became the part of the West Delhi Cricket Academy. He was trained under Rajkumar Sharma.
His father died on 18 December 2006 due to a stroke. As his father was the only in his family who earned. That's why when his father died his family's condition was not good. Kohli did a lot of hard-work to handle his family.

His career at starting

In October 2002, he played under-15 for Delhi. In 2002-03 he played for Polly Umrigar Trophy. He became captain of the Polly Umrigar Trophy in 2003-04.
He was selected in the Under-17 team in 2004. He also played for Vijay Merchant Trophy.
In 2008, he was selected for the ICC under-19 World Cup held in Malaysia. He scored 235 runs in 6 matches and India won the World Cup.

International Career

He was also selected in IPL (Indian Premier League) franchise Royal Challengers Banglore for $30,000 on a youth contract.
In August 2008, Kohli was included in Indian ODI (One Day International). He had not good starting in his international matches. But later he proved himself and played as a leader in the Indian Cricket Team.
In his first ODI, he made just 12 runs against Srilanka.
In May, June 2010 Kohli played against Srilanka and Zimbabwe, was and his score outstanding.

World-Cup

He played in all the matches of the world cup because his previous performance was good. It was his world cup debut. He made a century against Bangladesh and became the first Indian Batsman to score in his debut batch.
In the final match, he scored 35 runs and shared a partnership scored 83 runs with Gambhir against Srilanka. And India won the world in 2011.

Match Winner

In October 2011, due to the Kohli's contribution, India won against England from 5-0.
In the first seven matches of the common Wealth Bank triangular series against Australia and Srilanka. Kohli made two fifties, 77 at Perth 66 at Brisbane.
In 2012 in the Asia Cup in Bangladesh Kohli was chosen as the vice-captain. He played in all the matches with an average of 119.
He played against Pakistan and scored 183 off 148 balls.
In July 2013 on the Zimbabwe tour, Kohli was chosen as the captain first-time, and Indian won from 5-0.In the 2014 ICC World Twenty-Twenty Kohli was appointed as the Vice-Captain and played well.
He played at an average of 106.33 and made a record for most runs by an individual batsman in a single World Twenty-Twenty tournament for which he awarded as the Man of the tournament.
In 2014, he was chosen for the first time as a Captain in the test match and he scored 115 in the first inning. He became the fourth Indian Captain to score a hundred on a test Captaincy debut.
He had a very bad performance in the semi-final against Australia in Melbourne. Due to which he was very much trolled on social media. All these things boosted him and he started playing better than a precious phase.

His Records

During the South Africa tour, he became the fastest batsman in the world to make 1000 runs in T-20 cricket.
In 2017, during the ICC champions trophy, he played so well and made 96 not out against Bangladesh. He thus became the fastest batsman, in terms of innings to reach 8000 runs in ODI's in 175 innings.
In October 2017, he became an ODI player of the series against New Zealand. He made another record for the most runs (8,888) best average (5555) and the highest number of centuries (31) for any batsman when completing 200 ODI's.
In 2018, he became the 12th batsman in the world to make 10000 runs in T-20 Cricket.
His average is 59.62 which is the best average among the 10,000 club members.
On 16 December 2018 in Border Gavaskar Trophy, Kohli scored his 25th test hundred in Perth.
Now he is the captain of the Indian Cricket Team all the three formats.
He played very consistently and always proved himself as a leader of the Indian Cricket Team.
