Birth life

Arvind Kejriwal (the CM of Delhi) was born on 16 August 1968, in a middle class educated family. He was born in Siwani, Haryana.
His father Gobind Ram Kejriwal was an electrical engineer and graduated from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, (one of the top colleges for engineering). His mother Gita Devi was a housewife.
Due to his father's transfer from one place to another in Haryana. Arvind Kejriwal at starting passed at different places of Haryana.

Education

He studied at Campus School in Hisar and at Christian Holy Child School at Sonipat. He studied a lot in class 11th and 12th and crack IIT. He then looks admission to the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and graduated from here in mechanical engineering. He then worked with Tata Steel and was posted in Jamshedpur. He resigned from Tata Steel in 1992. He then decided to prepare for Civil services and crack it too. He was very intelligent that's why he was able to crack one of the toughest exams.
He joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS)  and worked as an Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax in 1995.

Started his NGO  

He took leave for some time from the Income Tax Department. He was liked to work for people. He found a social service program with his friend Manish Sisodia in December 1999 named "Parivartan", in Sundar Nagar, Delhi. In this program, he solved problems of people related to income tax, PDS (Public Distribution Scheme), social welfare schemes, and much more. If a person suffering from any type of problem he solved it and tried to help people.
In 2000, he issued a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) to promote transparency in public dealings in Income Tax.
In 2005, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia converted their NGO "Parivartan" to "Kabir" in which institutional funding is also allowed.
He wanted to spread transparency in public dealings. He does some non-violence movement like Satyagraha to stop corruption.
In 2001, the Delhi government enacted a state-level Right to Information (RTI) Act, which allowed the citizens to access government records for a small fee. These acts passed due to the movements spread by Kejriwal. His team "Parivartan" used RTI to help people get their work alone in government departments without paying a bribe.

In politics 

He observed than the congress scams were disclosed one by one. He became the enemy of Congress. At that time Anna's corruption movement was in force. He then made a team with Anna Hazare, Manish Sisodia, Yogendra Yadav, Kiran Bedi. All the intelligent intellectuals came together and fought for the country.
He resigned from his jobs in the Income Tax Department in 2006. He was awarded by Ramon Magsaysay Award for Emergent leadership and his contribution to "Parivartan".

Anti Corruption Movement

In 2011, the India Against Corruption movement was in force. All the big political leaders came together and fight for the right. The IAC demanded Bill, which would result in a strong ombudsman.
As in 2011, Anna Hazare and complete India were united together and sat on a hunger strike. This took the Government's advisory body-the National advisory council drafted a Lokpal Bill. After all these, the NAC's Bill was not in favor of the country. It had a lot of mistakes. Kejriwal and other activists criticized the grounds that it did not have enough powers to take action against the corrupt officeholders, the Prime Minister, and the Judiciary.
Congress did not fulfill the promises that are done by them to Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal. All people forced him that if he wants the favor of the Nation then he had to join politics.

Birth of Aam Admi Party

By January 2012, as the Government did not implement a strong Jan Lokpal Bill, it results in another protest. In November 2012, they launched Aam Admi Party. This took a rift between Kejriwal and Hazare. Kejriwal was elected as the party's National convener. The two backhands of Kejriwal were Kiran Bedi and Anna Hazare. Anna Hazare was not in his support and Kiran Bedi joined BJP.

As a Chief Minister

He contested the election in 2013, for Delhi Legislative Assembly election, he contested election against incumbent Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
He became the most mentioned Indian Politician on social media. In 2013, Delhi Legislative Assembly, Bhartiya Janta Party won 31 seats and Aam Admi Party won 28 seats then combined with Indian National Congress and came in power. Kejriwal took a very big decision on 14 February 2014, that he has to resign as a Chief Minister due to his failing to table the Jan Lokpal Bill in the Delhi Assembly.
He told that if he wanted to implement any kind of policy then Central Government always opposed him that's why he decided to resign.
He again fought election in 2015 and won 67 seats out of 70. He then took oath on 14 February 2015, as Delhi's Chief Minister at Ramlila Maidan. He was then able to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill with some amendments.
He had a long-running dispute with the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi because the Governor always opposed his decision.

His work for Delhi

👉Mohalla clinics that are primary health Centres in Delhi was first set up by his party in 2015, and as of 2018, 187 such clinics have been set up across the State and served more than 2 million residents.
👉He invested 26% of the total budget on education. He made Government schools for better education for poor children.
👉He provided doorstep delivery by costing just an extra 50 rupee and provided all types of cards like ration card at home.
👉He also promised to supply water free of cost and electricity at a very low budget.
