Rohit Sharma Early life Rohit Sharma was born on 30 April 1987 in Bansad, Nagpur, Maharashtra. His mother Purnima Sharma a housewife and his father Gurunath Sharma worked as a caretaker of a transport firm storehouse. His family was not in good condition due to which he had to live with his grandfather and uncles in Borivali. His coach advised him to join a school in which he was able to pursue his cricket career.
